The bachelor collection „PALIMPSEST - What happens if I disappear?“ questions the tension between authorship, originality, and the pressure to create meaning through design. In a creative environment that demands innovation, the author is often positioned as the sovereign and sole creator. This positioning usually goes hand in hand with visibility, conscious decisions, and comprehensible references. „PALIMPSEST - What happens if I disappear?“ deliberately defeats these expectations.

Inspired by the essay „The Death of the Author“ by Roland Barthes, the collection explores the extent to which the author of a work can be separated from it and goes one step further. Can the author distance themselves from the creative process without ending it?
